STREETSCAPE PROJECT
In one year the CRDC raised over $102,000 of the $150,000 Blueprint for Prosperity Capital Campaign Streetscape got through private investments for community improvements.
STREETSCAPE PHASES
Phase I: State Street
Work is progressing on a block of Curwensville’s State Street as part of the borough’s streetscape project. Curbs, sidewalks, lighting and overall aesthetics in the section of State Street between Thompson and Filbert streets are being upgraded as part of the initial phase.
Phase II: Thompson Street to Walnut Street
Grant was awarded by Congressman GT Thompson in March 2024. Construction is expected to begin spring of 2025.
Phase III: Filbert Street to Locust Street
CRDC is Applying for grants now, with hopes to have funding by 2025. Project would state once funding is secured.

filbert street - pocket park project
POCKET PARK - COMING SOON
The engineering is complete for a pocket park on the side of the Rails to Trails entrance off of Filbert Street. The space is currently being used to aide the construction of the Streetscape project so you may see construction vehicles and materials located in this area. As the construction of Streetscape advances we will launch a campaign to make the Pocket Park come to life. Look for this project to begin in 2025.
